I grew up in Colorado and even I was surprised by the dramatic weather change between last Saturday and Sunday. When I advertised the March mini shoots I made sure to indicate that this was a Colorado winter session so be prepared with winter clothing. That being said, it had been nice all week and on Friday night there was little indication that we would be hit by a 1030am snow storm the next day. So, when I drove into Boulder that next morning, I was simply excited about the awesome light that the cloud cover creates. Then I noticed the ominous winds and the the rapidly changing temperature drop on my dashboard. And then I was there and we were off and running. My awesome clients and their kiddos braved it and some unique shots come out of that day.
By Sunday, the only indication of snow was a soft wet blanket of moisture that covered the grass at my shoots the next morning. The sun was up early and it took over the Denver sky all day long. We chased the shade and avoided the many Denverites out enjoying the Colorado spring. Wow, what a different a day makes! Thank you for coming out and making the best of these quick sessions!
