Finding the Moments

This family arrived from all over for their holidays together.  The spread of accents, characters and family styles could charm a house plant (which I imagine is hard to do).  The head of the family tree was also celebrating a big birthday and this session was her gift.

We met on a very cold and windy weekend morning and cranked out some fun family photos at the Denver Performing Arts Center.  This site is interesting because it is entirely urban with all of the textures and backdrops you normally get with that… but, it also has a small park on the south side of the site.  Should the day be nice, this park gets used for pops of color.   Should it be a cold and overcast day, there is a nearby yellow wall that is always fun to photograph.  On a day like ours, we took advantage of the wind breaking buildings and the overhead coverage.  Home base was the warm coffee shop and we used it well.

All the best to this crew, thanks for letting me capture this moment in time.
