I hope this is obvious but I am going to just say it.  It really does make my job much easier if you love each other.  Whether it is kids loving their parents or an engaged couple loving each other, the more honest those emotions the more true the photos are.

So far I have been lucky.   I did a senior portrait shoot where the family was giving their senior all sorts of love in the form of heckling.  The shoot was entertaining and the energy stayed high throughout.  We all laughed our way through every position and outfit change.

For engagement photo shoots it makes posing so much smoother when the couple actually wants to touch (which is not always the case).   I aim to guide the process and then let the couple engage each other.  It can be fun to witness and powerful to see later when reviewing the images.  Thank you clients!
