THIS was my first wedding.  In New Orleans, Louisiana (where I had never been).  During French Quarter Fest (which I had never attended).  My boyfriend came as my second shooter, and guide to the city.  We had been together a little over 6 months and he seemed qualified because he was up for it.  And all I had to do was buy his plane ticket.  SO, yep.  Together we took it on.

What was I thinking?  I don’t know!  Excited and optimistic, and mostly naive… I put some classes into action and gave it my all.

While there are many images in this set I am proud of, it is also a great mark of how far I have come.  I wish I had it to do all over again.  There is no greater event to kick off my wedding photography career.

AND, yes, a few years later I went on to marry the guy I brought to NOLA.  How could I not?  Anyone who would take on this adventure is a keeper!
