After 687 days, she officially took the last name of her parents and became a big sister, by law.  It was a very special day, although each day with this child is special.  When she was one year old she made these two people parents.  They measure all parenting milestones by her, and struggle through all the normal things parents do with a toddler and an infant.  They are grateful, they are kind, and they are in love with their daughter.  They seem so lucky to have found each other.

I am so honored to do these kind of photoshoots through Red Thread Sessions.  The adoption was finalized this day and I was there to capture and celebrate it.  While I am not legally able to take photos while the proceeding are being held (due to the child being a minor), I catch all the moments around it.  That is special, and that is enough.
