All in a Moment

So often it seems that when we are setting up a shot, the image of the day just happens.  You have to be ready to capture it and keep moving.  Call it photojournalism, call it luck.  I call it patience.  Sometimes you have to wait for the shot.  You have to have your settings right and your lighting prepared.  With babies the moment comes and goes all in an instant.  They show character and then the emotion changes.  If you did not catch it, the face or position might never show up again. In a wedding, the event is all there is.  There is an inertia that comes with the day and shooting to many images is all to common.  Stop, take a breath and wait for the shot.  It is there when you least expect it.
