This is how I like to do a family photo shoot. I start wherever your kids are. If they rush out ready for their individual shot, we do that. If they want to be cuddled to you, we do that. If they want to show off their new sibling or t shirt, we do that. If left to me, we start out with some traditional poses and look at me goals. From there we move to some fun shots to reward the eye contact and good behavior, then we move. Every time they nail a shot, we move or adjust in some way to keep them guessing. Each move seems like a new adventure to the little ones while it also allows me to add variety to your session and follow the light.
By the end we are all fast friends and I hope you have some keepsakes. Here is an example of a winter session. We started at 9am, flurries started at 10 so the light was soft and flattering.
