I photographed this striking couple a few weeks before their baby boy as due. They were doing all the first time parent prep they could and trying their best to stay smart and safe with the pandemic. At this point they both worked from home and were staying active, dad was running and mom was using the peleton. #impressed. Before giving birth, the hospital was doing covid testing for moms. The protocol at the time was, assuming it was negative, both parents were assumed negative. They had family coming in town after baby came but for now, it was just them.

This setup was ideal. I could safely photograph this new family and keep myself and my family safe. I washed my hands when I left my house and wore my mask the entire time. We kept the windows and doors open and I stayed back, shooting with my long lenses whenever possible. I directed without touching and did not bring any of my own props (blankets, baskets, hats, etc).
