“Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family: Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.” – Jane Howard
We did our first mini shoot in 2011 when their child was not yet one year old. Cute as could be, their little charmer would not sit, stand, crawl, or make contact in any way with the grass. Three years later, she could not have been more engaged and interested in her surroundings. As we would walk between photoshoot locations, she would ask with excitement, “are we taking MORE pictures?!” I was blown away at how well she listened and responded to pose suggestions. As a photographer, this enthusiasm is great.
4 years old might just be the sweet spot for photography. That AND, this child is a sweet spot in and of herself.
Thank you Lam family for bringing me to Fort Collins for an awesome afternoon of Mini Shoots. If we had brought my suit, I would have ended that day floating down the Cache La Poudre with the college students. Aside from the mosquitos, it was just perfect.
