Newborn shoots have a special place in my heart.  Each child really has something different to offer and it is never more obvious than in the first week photo shoot.  Babies are honest with their feelings: if they are sad, they show it; if they are uncomfortable, they can not help but tell you.  If they are going to the bathroom, they show that on their face to!  In a 2 hour portrait session I am able to get the full range of their life.  It is refreshing and fun to work with, and around, these feelings.

I aim to give my clients a variety of shots, no matter the photo shoot.  I want to get some good head shots, some of each parent with the child, some baby details, and some images that show what the house is like with this new baby in it.  The end product is a mix of portrait and lifestyle imagery.

This photo shoot was for baby boy Thomas.  I met his wonderful and kind parents at the end of 2012 for their maternity session, the follow up is this.
