Tie the Knot in Simple Style
Kate and Lynn have an impressive balance of professional and outgoing characteristics that shine when together. They listen when the other talks and look into your eyes when you have something to contribute. They are clear about what love means to them and realistic about what marriage will bring to their relationship. Their love is refreshingly honest and this made my job as their Wedding Photographer a pleasure.
I met Kate through a friend, and then incidentally, through another friend. The two people we shared in common were some of my favorites and because of that, it seemed obvious that we would get along.
We met at a coffee shop, eight weeks before her wedding. There are not a lot of people who pull a wedding together with minimal stress and time, but these two made it look easy. The Wedding was at the Denver Botanic Gardens and the reception was at Fuel Cafe in the TAXI development. It was a smooth, however hot, day. The ceremony was framed with umbrellas for shade and champagne for refreshment. We did family portraits around the gardens wherever there was a little tree cover and privacy. After drinks and dining, one of my favorite ever “father of the bride” toasts took over the night. Kate’s Dad shared “lessons learned” in his many years of marriage and used his teacher’s voice to captivate the group.
To top it all off, the couple hired two local Denver bands to play late into the night. The bands have special meaning to the couple and clearly they were the highlight of the evening.
