There are many challenges in the photography business.  In Colorado, shooting at different times of year can be one of the largest.  The summer can be hot but the light has a warm and soft quality.  The days are long and people are more available for shoot times throughout the week.  As winter approaches the kids go back to school and the quality of light changes.  The way we dress and our patience with being outdoors shifts.  This is also the time most people think to do their Holiday photos.  While a winter shoot can be great, it all depends on what you are looking for.  To avoid being disappointed, think and plan in advance.  Let your photographer know what you are looking for and come prepared to change outfits, or even just change hats and accessories.
